Isabella Sophia

My Isabella turned 9 years old yesterday.  I love her so much.  She is such a good girl.

I made her go outside with her birthday balloons and her new owl so I could take her picture.  She got tired of me taking her picture and said that her cheeks hurt from smiling.  Silly girl....

She didn't know I was still taking pictures....

I love this one, because it shows how she really feels about that stuffed owl.  She just loves it.  She's been carrying it around since she opened her gifts.

She is at that age where they want to start being grown up, and don't want to be seen as a little kid.  Well, she still is just a kid, and I want her to enjoy every minute of it.

Being a grown up will happen quickly enough.

She requested owl cupcakes, and with a little help from her art teacher, I got them made!

They turned out sooooo cute, and she loved them.

I went to the school yesterday and brought her lunch from Chik-fil-a and an owl cupcake for dessert.
One of the Mom's of a friend of hers recognized it from my facebook post and said that they were cute, but what an odd request.  Owl cupcakes...

I guess people don't really understand how much this girl loves owls....

I think it's great.  I love that she feels a connection to them.

I've been promising her forever that I would make her some owl jewelry.

She picked out the turquoise beads, and told me exactly how many, and the position that she wanted them in.
The back, with a special message from me to her...
A big thick hunk of silver....
She loves it.   And that's all that really matters to me.

Happy Birthday my sweet girl!

  1. What a lovely post! She is beautiful and I'm glad she had a great birthday!

You did an awesome job on those cupcakes and that necklace is fabulous!

  2. SO stinkin adorable! I know why she loves owls, because they are COOL. And mysterious. And she is my kind o' girl, liking em as much as she does. Happy Birthday Isabella!!
The cupcakes turned out great! Now I know what I want for my birthday come May.

  3. What a little cutie - she looks just like you. Looks like she had the perfect birthday celebration...her owl necklace is adorable.

  4. Nawwww, what a beautiful post, Amy...she is so adorable! It looks like she was in owl-heaven :-) And that is a gorgeous necklace you made her!

My three year old daughter came over while I was reading this post and said, 'Lots of balloons, Mummy!' LOL :-)

  5. Wow...what a trendy little hipster you have on your hands there- owls, and cupcakes, and asymmetrical handmade jewelry:) Hehe. Seriously though, it looks like she adores everything you make and do for her and I can see on her face what a warm and sweet little girl she is. You are so lucky!
