I finished our taxes! Yay! I feel so good that I am celebrating by sunning myself like a cat in the front yard while the girls ride their bikes.
It is a beautiful day, full sun, not a cloud in the sky and a nice breeze. It is bittersweet really. I love the smell of spring in the air, and seeing all the green filling out the bare branches and stems. The Carolina jasmine covering our mailbox is already blooming, but in the next couple of days it will be a riot of yellow. When it is in full bloom I'll take a picture to share.
The reason it is bittersweet is because I know these perfect weather days will not last long. Soon it will be very hot. I hate hot. But, today I am not going to let it bother me. I am just going to enjoy the sun on my face and the breeze blowing through my hair.
What a relief to have the taxes complete. I haven't been able to work like I've wanted to for a couple of weeks now. It's kinda depressing to want to create and not be able to. It makes me feel grateful that I do usually have the freedom to create when I feel like it. And I will be in full swing later tonight and tomorrow!
The girls have spring break next week, and we are going to stay in town. I have spring cleaning on the agenda. We will find some time for fun too. Time with friends and a trip to the ft worth botanical garden. Isabella and I want to play with low fire clay, so I think we may take a trip to the shop in ft worth where I bought my kiln to get the clay and some glazes. Nothing major. We will save the big activities for when my Mom and little sister come to visit next month.
Well, back to my sunning! Have a beautiful day everyone! I am....xoxoxo
Sounds lovely:) I just can't wait to feel some warmer weather up our way. Yay for you for getting one of the biggies on your list accomplished- well deserved relaxing indeed!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I know what a weight that can be...I sent ours off a week ago and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Enjoy the sun...we haven't seen any for days...today it was bone-chilling cold.
